The primary responsibility of the successful candidate will be organising and undertaking site visits/monitoring surveys. The successful candidate must have a Full Clean Drivers Licence and access to a vehicle. We will not consider applicants that do not meet this requirement. Monitoring surveys depend on project requirements and are not continuous, the successful candidate will also undertake desk-based work as part of the position.

The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to scope and deliver projects in line with client requirements. Candidates should have good people skills, be driven, and also work well in a team environment.

The role will be based in our Dublin office and the successful candidate must be available to attend the office a minimum of 2-3 days per week.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

As a Graduate/Junior Environmental Consultant, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Assisting in preparation of air quality and climate assessments for Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Reports, including:

 Construction dust assessments

 Air quality assessments of traffic emissions

 Carbon and/or Lifecycle assessments

 Climate change risk assessments

• Undertaking air quality monitoring and baseline surveys at various sites throughout the country.

• Technical report writing.

• Assisting in coordinating air quality and climate assessments, gathering information, data processing and client communications.

• Preparation of and creating proposals to address client needs.

Essential Requirements:

• Minimum BSc or BA (Hons) degree in environmental science or related discipline.

• Prior experience beneficial but not essential.

• Enthusiastic “self starter” comfortable working on a variety of project types in a fast-paced consultancy environment – this will not suit applicants who are not comfortable working on several projects at once.

• Excellent communication skills – comfortable liaising, meeting and dealing with clients, contractors and other team members on a day to day basis.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Proficient with MS Office.

• Full Clean Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.
